Lenovo Express Card Reader Issues

Issue Summary: 
The Express Card reader slot in some Lenovo units does not function properly. If a card is inserted in the slot it may become stuck and difficult to remove.

If you purchased a Lenovo X230CT from the University Bookstore

The bookstore will exchange the defective units for a new one. Procedure for exchanging bookstore purchased Lenovo X230CT as follows:

Make sure you have the following items with you:

  • Hokie Passport or other picture ID
  • Lenovo X230CT
  • Original Box (if available)
  • Accessories(Includes power adapter, sytlus, instructions, and Smart Card Reader)

Exchange your unit at the War Memorial Gym as follows:

  • Location: Virginia Tech War Memorial Gym - Follow signs for University Bookstore Computer Distribution
  • Dates: August 22nd - 24th
  • Times: 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
